When I got this, I was very excited to use it as I love anything that will save me money. I have been using it for laundry and I have seen the difference in dry time if not in static removal that dryer sheets do. My clothes come out with more static on it than if I used nothing at all, but that is a price I am willing to pay to bring down my energy and shopping bill. Now my major drawback was the smell on the balls. When I first opened it it had a stench to it, I have a very sensitive nose, and I thought it was something that will pass in a day or two as it might have come from packaging, but even after airing it for 3 days the smell was still there. What I did was to run it in a empty dryer with heat for 20 minutes and the 10 minutes on air dry with drops of my favorite essential oil scents on it.

It does a good job of drying even heavy materials like towels and woolen wears fast, but the stench that came with it and the extra static it brings is not to my liking. I give this 3 stars.
